courtesy of @idiopathicsmile who wrote an amazing space folk song, @animatedamerican who reblogged said amazing space folk song, the guy at the pub sing last weekend who sang Banks of Claudy, and whoever posted this on LJ, probably at Balladeers, so many years ago: one of my favorite filks. Broken Token IN SPACE!

I do love this song.

Fair Lady Atlantia – Efenwealt Wystle

Fair Lady Atlantia, she rides upon the wind
The bravest of warriors, and the poet’s friend
Though I’ve traveled for many days
She never seems so far away
Fair Lady Atlantia, my lady by the sea

A song about North Carolina…or the SCA version of North Carolina.  “Fair Lady Atlantia,” by Efenwealt Wystle.

Omg I can't believe this blog exists I'm so happy I love filk music so much but I kinda thought I was alone and omfg thank you so much for existing On a side note have you posted/could you post Confusions from Lovers, Lore and Loss? I used to have it but after moving and a couple computer crashes I can't find it anywhere!

YOU’RE NOT ALONE, THERE ARE LIKE A WHOLE SIX OF US

unfortunately, I don’t have that album, and I haven’t been able to find it

however, there are a few people following me that have been filking a lot longer than I have and have much more impressive music stashes, and I’m hoping one of them will see this and be able to help

so @paticmak made this lovely drawing/animation of “poe singing space folk songs to the other resistance pilots” and then @soemily activated the SPACE-SIGNALING BEACON OF WRITE A SPACE FOLK SONG

this one turned out like 50% space folk song, 50% blindsided by poe dameron feelings. (surely you, the internet, understand.)

Black Widows in the Privy – Julia Ecklar

thepasswordispeekaboo:

Everyone knows someone we’d be better off without
But best not mention names for we don’t know who’s about
But why commit a murder and risk the fire’s of hell
When black widows in the privy can do it just as well

A Serious Business – Meg Davis

My computer died several weeks ago and I lost all my musical and artistic files. I got a new computer and am re-importing all of my cds, but it’s a slow process due to having to FIND those cds.

This is one song I have been unable to find anywhere, so here you go.
