“A Thousand Ships” by Ju Honisch and Katy Droege-Macdonald, a look at Helen of Troy’s side of the story.

Crystal Hearbeat – Ju Honisch & Katy Droege-Macdonald
Master Treasurer,
Spirit of glass,
You who live in the forest dark,
Give me answers and riches and all that I crave,
For I won’t be a slave
Any more, any more,
And because I am brave
I have studied your lore,
And your crystal heart secret I sing evermore.

Hunter of the Early Prey – Ju Honisch & Katy Droege-Macdonald
Spring Goddess and elven queen,
oft imagined, never seen,
unicorn and mandragore
hold their counsel midst the gore.
This song has a light Jethro Tull vibe that I really dig.
Pageant Legend (Morgan Le Fay)
Pageant Legend, by Katy Dröge-Macdonald and Juliane Honisch
Fun fact: one of the writers (I think it was Katy) originally wanted to call this song “Fuck Arthur” but was told she couldn’t do that. So she called it “Pageant Legend,” but nobody remembers that name, so everyone calls it The Morgan Le Fay Song.
And it’s on myspace. How quaint.
