Sacred Fire – Heather Alexander

December 19, 2015 by axonsandsynapses

Hickory, birch and willow, oak, ash and thorn,
Hazel, holly, rowan are the nine where the flame is born-
All of you who gather here bear wounds that never healed,
Festered and forgotten, blood stained and congealed

To Alexander’s credit, I’ve never heard a song use the sound of fire (remixed) as percussion.

An important note:

All songs belong 100% to their respective creators. Direct inquiries about rights and recordings to the artist(s) credited, not to us!

We cannot give permission to cover songs that we didn’t write, and we are not a filk distributor – while we can link to places you can purchase music, we do not sell the music ourselves. Most of the time, we don’t have any direct line of communication to a particular filk artist, and your best bet is to look up their website and see if they have contact info there.

If you are a creator of music we have featured, please don’t hesitate to contact us with corrections or if you would like us to take your work down.
